Nurse Assistant Complete Skills Workshop---$500

This workshop is for those that have already passed a CNA course previously and needs a refresher in the 23 skills for long term care. This is a 16 hour hands on workshop for Mississippi residents.  After the workshop, you will have access to skill videos on our website.

REQUIREMENTS----

Must be able to attend in person and

  • Previously passed a CNA course (proof required) in the last 2 years but did not take the Mississippi certification exam or
  • Previously passed a CNA course (proof required) in the last 2 years but failed skill portion of Mississippi certification exam or
  • Previously was certified as a CNA in any state and is ready to challenge the Mississippi certification exam again and does not need the written portion taught 
  • Passed our Personal Care Aide self study or Hospice Aide self study
The 23 skills for the state of Mississippi are taught and practiced. 

Commission on Proprietary Schools and College Registration has not reviewed nor needs to approve these workshops or CEUs. 


Nurse Assistant Refresher Skills Training Workshop---$225

This workshop is for those that have already passed a CNA course previously and needs a refresher in 16 out of 23 skills for long term care. This is an 8 hour, 1 day hands on workshop for Mississippi residents.  After the workshop, you will have access to skill videos on our website.

**This is a 1 day refresher workshop, not a college course.

REQUIREMENTS----

Intravenous Therapy Certification Workshop--Fee: $600 

An additional $25 late registration fee is charged if registering within the 7 days prior to workshop.
Private Workshops are only taught in groups of 3 to 5 participants starting at $3000. Each additional participant's fee is $600.If the workshop is held on a weekday, an additional $250 is charged. Workshops must be booked and paid at least 3 weeks in advance.   • Intense 1-day, 100% hands-on seminar, which is held for approximately 8 hours.

  • Designed to teach the serious individual how to start, care and maintain, and discontinue a peripheral IV or enhance their skills from previous training. This is not a central line course, nor a pharmaceutical IV course.

  • A home study module is required of the participant outside of the clinical workshop. This home study may be completed before or after the day of the program.

  • Participants will be taught the proper handling, and concept of the procedure then proceed to the practice area, and finally will prove competency on  specially designed manikins.

  • Does not consist of written exams. Our "exams" are practical examinations.

Upon successful completion of the Workshop, the participant will receive a national certification*

Prerequisites: Must be at least 18 years of age. LPN/LVN, RN, or other qualified medical professional. Non-licensed healthcare professionals are expected to have previous venipuncture skill and knowledge and will be required to submit documentation verifying they are working under a physician’s license.

*Excludes Mississippi and Colorado, at this time. Transferable into Ohio and Missouri. Mississippi nurses may call about the online video training and written exam.

Phlebotomy Certification Workshop with EKG--  2022 Fee: $600 

An additional $25 late registration fee is charged if registering within the 7 days prior to workshop.

***  Covid19- All students participating in a Medical2 Phlebotomy Certification workshop until further notice will be required to bring and wear a face-mask in the room where the workshop is taking place. We are too close during practice and live sticks to not be safe. Also, all students may have temperature checked at the beginning of the day for fever. If you present with fever, you will be asked to come back at a later date for training.

  • Proven to provide you with the basic proper and necessary skills used in the field of phlebotomy including: evacuated systems with straight needle, finger/heel lancet sticks, and butterfly needles.
  • Designed to teach the serious individual how to draw blood, from the ground up or enhance their skills from previous training. 
  • Discussion on how to perform an electrocardiogram.
  • Does not consist of book work or written exams. Our "exams" are practical examinations.
Participants will be taught the proper handling, and concept of the procedure then proceed to the practice area, and finally will prove competency on our specially designed manikins and live draws. Upon successful completion of the Workshop, the participant will receive a National Certification for phlebotomy with EKG.

  • At least 18 years of age 
  • high school diploma or GED
  • medical background such as medical/healthcare/science/dental or related-- courses, field work, training, or volunteering in these fields
