Course Objectives---
ü Ability to care for residents’ or patients’ personal needs while assisting the nursing staff by notifying them of physical, emotional, or mental changes.
ü Ability to perform blood and specimen draws then processing them.
ü Ability to perform electrocardiogram
ü Assist or perform patient assessments
ü Knowledge of emergency care
ü Knowledge of care for the surgical patient
ü Knowledge of wound care, pressure ulcers, rehabilitative and restorative care
ü Knowledge of special care concerns for pre and post birth of mother and child
ü Knowledge of care of the older adult and end of life care
ü Knowledge of patients with mental health needs and chronic conditions
Medical Terminology is a three week online course. You will be completing the quizzes and exams at your convenience on any internet device by the deadline given. The PCT portion is four weeks online courses. During the last 2 weeks online courses, you also will be in the classroom on Wednesdays, and Thursdays.

Delivery Model------Intro to Medical Terminology is an online course for 3 weeks, Distance 45 hours. Last, is PCT course which is Residential 24 hours and Distance 63 hours.
